EU Delegation in Sudan calls on government to investigate into attack on Darfur peacekeepers

Khartoum-The European Union delegation in Sudan has urged the Sudanese government to conduct urgent investigations into the attack on the UN-African Union peacekeeping forces in Koroma area in North Darfur state, where three of the Ethiopian peacekeepers were killed last Thursday by unknown gunmen.
The mission has stressed necessity of bringing the culprit to justice, and affirmed that the recent attack on the UNAMID confirms the need to realize a comprehensive peace in Darfur and consolidate the national dialogue in Sudan.
Head of the EU mission in Sudan denounced in statement the attacks on the UNAMID, saying that this was the second attack in one year.
