Paris-Darfur rebel Sudan Liberation Army faction of Minni Minnawi (SLA-MM) stressed on Monday that it is approaching about (8) kilometers from the capital of South Darfur State, Nyala, and captured two area are about (100) km from the capital.
Aaccording to FRANCE, the commander in SLA-MM, Hussein Minnawi, said that their forces captured Al-Ashmah area on Sunday, confirming that they are still controlling Muhajeriya and Labado
The UN-African Union Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) confirmed the capture of the two towns in East Darfur, saying it was assaulted in the early morning on Saturday.
Airstrikes were later reported at both locations, the Mission said in a press statement Sunday night, adding that “thousands of civilians, many with their livestock, are concentrated around UNAMID team sites in Muhajeriya and Labado for protection.”
Hussein denounced the Doha Conference’s results, calling for focusing on solving the Darfur’s problem within the framework of the overall solution to the Sudan.
"We and other Sudanese opposition movements want democratic and federal system based on equality and separation of religion and Government". He added
