National Press Council threatens to take legal actions against 27 companies

Khartoum-The National Council for Press and Publications has revealed that around 27 publishing companies out of 37 violate 7 articles of the press and publications act, threatening to withdraw their licensees or suspend their activities if these violations have not be addressed in two weeks from the date of notification.

The Secretary General of the National council for press and publications Al-Obeid Ahmed Morawah told journalists upon a meeting yesterday that the council has assigned the council authority to take the legal actions against the companies that violate the law after addressing them and summoning their publishers.
