Title: Qatar supports flood-affected persons in Sudan

Khartoum-In implementation of the instructions of Emir of State of Qatar Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani to send immediate reef assistance to Sudan to confront impact of rains and floods in various parts of Sudan, three Qatari airplanes arrived in Khartoum airport on Tuesday carrying 48 tones of food, shelter and health materials. An additional plane is expected to arrive in Sudan on Thursday.
Speaking to SUNA, Humanitarian Aid Commission representative Mahmoud Shams-Eddin expressed Sudan appreciation to Qatar for extending this assistance, considering Qatar as the first state to offer humanitarian assistance to the flood-affected persons.
Representative of the civil defense public administration Major General Bashir Ali has referred to the supportive stance of Qatar to Sudan.
