Police disperse hundreds of demonstrators in Al-Kalakla suburb in Khartoum

Khartoum-Hundreds of citizens in areas of Al-Kalakla and Abu-Adam took to the streets protesting the water supply cut. Police have interfered to disperse the demonstration using tear gas.

Eyre witnesses told Al-Jareedfa that the water supply cut continued for almost for two weeks. Other areas in Khartoum such as Arkaweet and Al-Fayha have also witnessed water supply cut.

In a plenary meeting with Khartoum Water Corporation on Thursday, the governor of Khartoum state Abdelrahman Al-Khidir discussed the reasons of the water supply cut in a number of locations.
