Khartoum consolidates ties with Rome

Khartoum-The assistant to the President Ibrahim Ghanodur discussed, in a meeting at the Republican palace on Monday with the ambassador of Italy in Khartoum, the bilateral relations between Khartoum and Rome and means for pushing it ahead to serve the common interests between the two countries.

Ghandour briefed the Italian ambassador in the national dialogue process and the response of the various Sudanese political parties toward participation in the national comprehensive dialogue.

The meeting touched on the proposed visit of the Italian Foreign Minister to Sudan in July during which a number of issues of mutual concern will b discussed.
