UN Independent Expert: I do not take money from Sudanese government

Khartoum-The UN independent expert for human rights situations in Sudan, Mashood Baderin, has said he did not receive any money from the Sudanese government, saying that the UN acts in a transparent and honest manner to implement its duties. Speaking to the Citizen, he is surprised by the voices that question his task and the claims that Khartoum is paying them money for hiding the facts on human rights violations.

He added” during my task in Khartoum, the meetings take place in the presence of a person from Geneva in realization of transparency. I did not receive any Sudanese official outside the agendas of the official visits”.
