Khartoum-The Minister of Justice Mohamed Bushara Dosa and chairperson of the Arab Union for Combating counterfeiting and Forgery Nawal Al-Hamoud Al-Malik Al-Sabah signed on Monday an agreement to establish the headquarters of the Arab Union for combating counterfeiting and forgery in Sudan.
In a statement to SUNA, the Minister of Justice lauded the role of the Arab Union for combating counterfeiting and forgery in providing services for the Arab and African countries. He said that the joining of union by Sudan and its consent to become the headquarters state is considered as big victory due to the Union’ big role in combating counterfeiting and forgery.
The presence of the premises in Sudan will help creation of training opportunities through modern scientific means, and conduct of workshops that help educating the local community, he said, showing readiness to cooperation with the union to fight crime of forgery and counterfeiting in Sudan, the Arab states and others.
On her part, Nawal expressed thanks to the government of Sudan for agreeing to host the headquarters of the union, lauding the cooperation and facilities offered the Sudanese government. She said that the union will hold an African -Arab conference on forget in 2015.
