Authorities treat Al-Mahdi decently amid expectation of his release soon

Khartoum-The authorities have placed chairman of the National Umma Party Al-Sadeq Al-Mahdi in a separate room in Kober Prison. The Imam of Al-Ansar sect finds human and decent treatment by the authorities of the federal prison. Al-Mahdi was not a new comer to political detention in Kober Prison as this is his fifth time. However, his arrest a surprise for opposition and government figures as he is the key players in President Al-Bashir call for dialogue.
Head of al-Mahdi office Mohamed Zaki, who visited Al-Mahdi at his prison yesterday, said that he is optimistic that he will be released in coming two days. He said that Al-Mahdi reads daily newspapers and the prison authorities treat him decently
