Experts call for criminalizing currency speculations

Khartoum-Economic experts, deputies in the Parliament and businessmen have called for enacting laws criminalizing in foreign currencies trade and speculations.

Speaking to a workshop organized by “Al- Ruia Center for Public Opinion Studies”, they have described the prices of the foreign currencies in the parallel market as exclusionary and prices of” brokers” that aim to serve personal interests.

They have stated that the genuine price of the US dollar does not exceed ( 5.3) pound, urging the Presidency of the Republic to issue legislation and strict laws to stop these speculations.

Economic expert Dr. Adel Abdel-Aziz linked the rise and fall in the value of the Sudanese pound with the ability of the Sudanese Central bank to meet the basic needs, saying that this ability is remarkably improving.
