Sudan and Chad laud role of joint border in securing borders

Khartoum-The Sudanese and Chadian Defense Ministers have affirmed that the security situation on the joint border is stable after four years of deployment of the joint forces.
In a joint press conference in Khartoum earlier this week, the Sudanese defense ministers said the joint forces have contributed in preventing the security breaches and finding solutions to the armed conflicts on the border.
On his part, the Chadian defense minister said that the joint force have also contributed in developing the Sudanese-Chadian borders due to its effort in safeguarding the joint borders.

In 2010, Sudan and Chad deployed a force of 3000 soldiers on the joint borders as part of protocol aimed to control the borders and to put an end to the presence of armed groups on the borders.
