Sudanese Parliament ready to hold direct talks with US Congress

Khartoum-Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr. Al-Fateh Izz-Edden, announced on Tuesday that the parliament is ready to hold direct dialogue with the US Congress to discuss Sudan issues and work to establish good relations between the two countries. He further called on Carter Center to monitor the coming elections.

In a meeting with the executive director of Carter Center in Khartoum, Izz-Edden said that they plan to submit reports, in cooperation with the center, on the impact of the US sanctions on Sudan in field of development and use of technology to the concerned bodies in Washington in order to work for lifting what he described as the unfair embargo on Sudan.
