Khartoum-The Sudanese committee for solidarity with families of martyrs, wounded and detainees has said affirmed presence of detainees who have not released so far.

The committee has urged the humanitarian organizations and activists to support the treatment of tens of those who sustained injuries during last September demonstrations and described their health conditions as serious, saying some of them urgently need artificial limbs and removal of bullets from their bodies.

In a press statement on Tuesday, head of the committee Sideq Yousif affirmed continuity of the arrest of the university professor Dr. Sideq Nourin and university student Abas Bashir and Mohamed Adam Juma’a since last November and Salah-Eddin Abdalla since December.

He referred to the arrest of students from universities of Niyala and Port-Sudan. He said 10 of the demonstrators of Dar-al-salam are still in prison.

Yousif has called for releasing the detainees or bring them to justice.

Yousif has underestimated the importance of President Al-Bashir decision to release the detainees and allow expression freedom, saying two students at Al-Nelain and the Holy Quran universities were beaten after the issuance of the decision.

The head of the committee called for cancellation of the freedom restricting laws that include the Security act, saying that without cancelation of these laws, these practices will continue.
