EU: Developments of situations in Darfur contradict call for dialogue by government

Khartoum-The European Union has denounced the escalation of violence in Darfur.

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton expressed, in statement on Friday, grave concern over the continuous escalations of the continuous dispute in the region that resulted in a wide wave of displacement of civilians.

Ashton has said that the Sudanese armed forces, militias and armed movements are responsible for the violations committed against the civilians in Darfur in addition to the inter-tribal conflicts.

Ashton has said that since the beginning of 2014 more than 215.000 civilians have been displaced with most of them are unable to get humanitarian assistances.
