About 77,000 people have sought refuge at several United Nations bases in South Sudan since December.

Some people who took shelter three months ago are building homes, setting up businesses and planning their futures on camps inside the bases.

The existence of the camps has created friction between the UN and the government of South Sudan, which believes former combatants to be among the civilians living on the bases.

Al Jazeera's Anna Cavell reports from Juba, South Sudan.
