Sudan affirms keenness to reactivate mechanisms of Sahel and Sahara grouping

Khartoum-The assistant to the Sudanese President, Professor Ibrahim Ghandour, has affirmed his country’s support to the Sahel and Sahara Grouping, and his keenness to reactivate the mechanisms of the community as a regional grouping that works to mobilize energies to confront the major challenges that face progress of the alliance. .

In his speech at the meetings of the 20th session of the executive council of the Sahel and Sahara grouping in Khartoum at the friendship hall in Khartoum, Prof. Ghandour said that the current meetings come as support to the common African work, saying that the current circumstances in the African continent necessitate consolidation of regional partnerships at the political, social and economic levels.
He urged the “brothers” in Libya to overcome the political and security challenges that face the country , affirming support of Sudan and the grouping countries to the government and people of Libya so as to realize its national objectives and live up to its regional role within the Sahel and Sahara grouping.
