Unknown planes launch strikes on convoy of arms smugglers in eastern Sudan
Hurriyat-Well informed sources have told Hurriyat that unknown planes have launched air strikes on a convoy of arms smugglers near the red sea coast in eastern Sudan.
The sources said that the strike, which targeted weapon-smuggling convoy bound to the Islamic groups in Egypt and Gaza strip, took place in the last week of January. The sources said that the National Congress Party did not reveal the strike.
The sources said that the sites of the strike are close to the locations of the previous Israeli air strikes against the convoys that were carrying arms to the Palestinian Hamas Movement via Sinai Peninsula and Rafah Crossing to Gaza strip.
The sources have denounced the useless old techniques by the Sudanese army and the Sudanese security organs in the area making Sudanese territories platform for targeting neighboring countries.
They said that the strike has pushed the Sudanese defense minister Abdel-Raheem Mohamed Hussein to flee to Egypt to meet with the Egyptian defense minister.
