Sudanese advocacy group affirms continuity of violations against freedom of expressions

Khartoum-The Sudanese Authority for defending rights and freedoms has affirmed the contunity of the violations of freedoms in Sudan, and called for press and expression freedoms and stop the security from monitoring and banning newspapers.

In a statement on today, the authority said that the security confiscated newspapers of Al-Ayam, Al-Sahafa and Alwan without giving reasons for the move the security has been exercising.

The statement said the confiscation of newspapers and obstructions of freedom affirm that the government is serious toward allowing freedoms and not genuine o engage in a dialogue with the whole political powers.

The statement said that the Sudanese journalists are working under expelling atmosphere and tough circumstances due to the frequent summoning by the security. The statement pointed out that the publishers suffer from the extremely complicated economic situations.
