Egypt requests Sudanese mediation to end suspending its membership to AU

Khartoum-The President of the Republic Omer Al-Bashir received on Tuesday a written message from the Egyptian President Adli Mansour. Reliable sources told Al-Mijhar that the Egyptian President asked President Al-Bashir to mediate ending the suspension of Egypt in the African Union.
The sources said that Mansour urged Al-Bashir to help Egypt through the diplomatic channels, and briefed him on the measures being exerted to restore the atmosphere of democracy in Egypt.
Last July, the African Union Peace and Security Council issued a decision suspending the activities of Egypt within the African Union organs following the military coup that ousted the elected President Mohamed Mursi.
In the meantime, the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Hazem Al-Bilawi, has sent a congratulatory message to the Sudanese First Vice President Bakri Hassan Saleh over his appointment as the First Vice President of Sudan.
