Measures to restore Sudanese migrants stranded in Indonesia
Khartoum-Director of Department of labor and workers at the Sudanese Expatriates Authority, Saber Abdullah Awad, has announced that there are procedures and arrangements to restore Sudanese, illegal immigrants, stranded in Indonesia into the country, pointing out that there are reports indicate to infiltration of Sudanese to Saudi Arabia and Libya.
In press statements on Monday, Awad attributed the reasons for illegal immigration to the economic conditions and infiltrators' miscalculation to the conditions of States which trying to access, as well as the weak border controls.
He added that reports confirmed the infiltration of Sudanese into Arabic countries such as Saudi Arabia which has launched a campaign to fight presence of offenders by different organs, disclosing that Libya is one of the most affected countries from infiltration phenomenon after Libyan uprising due to the length of the border with Sudan and the lack of controls on the border.
He said that repatriation of Sudanese stranded in Indonesia in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration, in coordination with the mission and Sudanese community in Indonesia, stressing the importance of approving the Human Trafficking Act made by the Legal Department of the Sudanese Expatriates Authority to reduce the illegal immigration phenomenon.
