Sudan's President announces that next year will witness the end of the armed conflict
Khartoum-Sudan's President, Omar Al-Bashir, announced on Sunday that next year will witness the end of armed conflict in the country.
Al-Bashir, who was speaking to a meeting of Sudan's Youth Union, said that the peaceful transfer of power is a basic tool of governance in the country through elections that respect people and their choices and meet their aspirations through the national dialogue
"Our program of the 2014 is to end of the ethnic and tribal conflicts and insurgency." Sudan's president said
He urged all young people in the armed movements to lay down arms and work for national unity, saying "We have sought to bring peace, and made it a strategic objective and we have negotiated with those who are taking up arms for the conviction that resolving issues through dialogue is useful".
