Khartoum-Sudanese Foreign Minister, Ali Karti, has down played the importance of the new American envoy to his country and South Sudan.

Sudan’s top diplomat stressed that Khartoum "will not rely too much on this step as a compatible only with American policy."

For his part, South Sudan’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Barnabas Benjamin, disclosed in the same program that a joint plan led by the foreign ministries of the two countries was established to attract the external support and address the chronic and pending issues between the two countries.
The two Ministers stressed the commitment of the two presidents of Sudan and South Sudan to implement the cooperation agreements signed between Juba and Khartoum and the desire to establish relations between the two countries.
