Decreasing of trade volume between Sudan and Arabic countries by (18) % last year
Khartoum-Trade exchange volume between Sudan and Arabic countries has decreased during the first half of last year by (18) % compared to the year 2011 because of the rationalization policy pursued by the Sudanese State.
The trade expert, Al-Radiya Khamis, has revealed that the Sudan's volume trade focused on three Arabic countries in the region, pointing out that trade exchange between Sudan and the remaining (14) Arabic countries is weak and doesn't exceed (1.16) % in comparison to Sudan's resources.
Khamis, who was speaking at a forum organized by the Sudanese Cabinet on Thursday, explained that the negative effects of Sudan's joining to Arab Trade Zone will be represented in the unequal competition and control of imported products on the local market and flooding the market.
She recommended the importance of Sudan's participation in regional and international economic blocs after it becomes ready through development of the productive sectors and to promote exports
