Sudanese website accused of "insulting faith, morals"

Text of report by pro-government newspaper Akhir Lahzah on 13 November

Akhir Lahzah's battle to shut down the sudaneseonline website that
insults faith and morals has been transferred to parliament where the
Media, Information and Communications Committee yesterday discussed
the issue as part of the agenda of its periodical meeting. The meeting
that was chaired by acting chairman, Muhammad Hamid al-Balah,
discussed Akhir Lahzah newspaper's demand to shut down the website
because it contained tremendous insults to Islam, virtuous morals and
    Sudanese society's customs.

The head of the communications department of the parliamentary
committee, Abdallah al-Ardab, said the meeting had resolved to arrange
a meeting during the next few days with the National Telecommunication
Corporation to investigate the negative effects of allowing the
website to continue to be viewed in Sudan. Al-Ardab added that the
committee had assigned his department to gather more information about
the website to inform a decision in its regard and to make
recommendations to the state's executive authorities.

Re: Sudanese website accused of "insulting faith, moral (Re: بكرى ابوبكر)

It's strange that the allegations never mentioned the insulting of Ingaz members, but is simply mentioned big spritual words like Islam, Morals , Virtuous ,as if the INF members are resembling all these virtues which they are not in fact.
the question is dear bakri, are they really capable/willing to shut down the website, I mean technically, are they ?

This is a story to my understanding exaggerated by NCP propaganda machines represented by the Akir La Haza and Al Intibaha. The action taken by editorial in dismissing the author who intentionally abused heavenly God was in line with media ethics and professionalism conduct.

Sudanese On Lines is a model of a free, professional and opinions flow institutions for all sudanese irrespective of religion, race or area. I have reached this conviction and satisfaction early this year when i began visiting and reading on this site. National Congress Party with its unprofessional and bias media tools should know that they are not that clean to protect the image of the mighty heavenly God and the prophets of God. The ethics and norms that this forum applies in pursuit of well articulated opinions that are not abusive and bias is worth commending.

It is becoming apparent that NCP sponsored press lacks tolerance and unable to operate under free democratic media atomsphere. However, I want want to advise the editorial team of the Sudanese on lines to deal with this puppets with wisdom and intellect so that principles of a free press are adhered to unlike them.

    Dear colleague Ayaga.

    .
You hit the nail on the head, the NCP press is one of many vicious circles which surrounds poor citizens, misleads and manipulate them. It's true that more people awareness would definitely expose the role they are planning/playing to their MASTERS.

    Thanks Ayaga.
