In our own backyard (I mean Sudan), we have been all through using "tolerance" to cover up "extreme intolerance." It is just amazing that we tend to celebrate this fake sense of tolerance for such along time while the country is burning to dismembership. To be certain, intolerance is tightly wraped in the woof of our despotic power system, and faking tolerance is in fact one way of reproducing this depotic power system. Logically, then, tolerance cannot be taught in schools, nor can it be gained by celebrating something that does not exist. The path ahead is to shake our power structures; a process that is already underway.
