Khartoum, Oct.4(SUNA)-Sudan has underlined its support to efforts to restructure the Universal Postal Union(UPU) and re-election of Bashar Abdul-Rahman Hussein for new term.
This came when Head of Sudan delegation , State Minister for Communications Engineer Al-Sadiq Fadlalla met with the UPU Secretary-General , Bashar Abdul-Rahman Hussein on the sideline of the 26th session of the UPU Conference being held in Istanbul, Turkey with participation of ministers from 50 countries and 2500 representatives of 192 states .
The Sudanese delegation informed bashar on development of postal sector in Sudan and that Sudan is ready to host UPU activities.
The UPU Secretary-General , on his part, commended effective participation of Sudan delegation in activities of the Conference and asserted the Union is ready to provide technical support to postal sector in Sudan. ASA/
