Government of North Darfur state has announced that it put tight security measures in preparation for the upcoming electoral process, and confirming its control over security situation in the localities and the northern areas bordering Libya.
the deputy to North Darfur State, Adam Hamid Al-Nahla, disclosed on Tuesday that authorities in state has taken alert to ensure the elections process in all parts of the state in anticipation of any developments, pointing out the stability of the security situation and absence of the rebel movements except in small pockets in remote areas far from the location of the population
Al-Nahla told the run-state Sudan Media Center (SMC) that large group loyal to the Sudan Liberation Movement/Army headed by Minni Minnawi fled to within Libya after their battle with Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF)
