With the emergence of the Islamic State in the 20th century, this contest over the future of Islam has become a passionate, sometimes violent battle between those who seek to enforce a rigid and archaic legal code on society and those who struggle to harmonize the teachings of the Prophet with contemporary ideals of democracy and human rights. With the current teaching and mentality, I don’t think that Islam will answer the critical social, political and economical crises that harming many Muslim nations. I recently started to hear some Muslim’s scholars talking about the same issues. Many wise scholars have stated clearly, that the religion has been hijacked by less than ten percent of the whole Muslim population which they represent the radical Wahabi sectors of Islam. They have warned that its time for the many intimidated to take action and confront those radicals’ killers, other wise the religion will be the target by many non-Muslims especially in the western world.
