The mother bull

The characters
1 : The lion : the leader, in military dress, including general,sign on his shoulder.
2 : The fox : A TV journalist, with brightly coloured full suit ,fox mask.
3: Rabbit : in common African dress, rabbit mask.
4 : Dog : in common African dress, dog mask
5: Zebra : in common African dress, zebra mask
Deer : in common African dress ,deer mask
7; Monkey : in common African dress, monkey mask

(( An African forest, soft, cheerful African drums, the forest trees are filled with refracted moon light, an open soace surrounded by trees.
Sitting in various relaxed positions, chatting and having fun, are monkey, deer, dog ,zebra and rabbit, suddenly the drums sound like a call to war.
The light becomes colourful, yhe moon light disapears.
The fox enters and wheels in a large and wide Tv screen, while the fox tries to fix the screen centre stage, all the animals( monkey, deer, dog, zebra,rabbit) are scattered about the stage, their movements are fearful responses.
The drums sound stronger and stronger, the light follows the fading drum beats, a silent pause, then the drums return with its horrible sounds, the animals are very excited by what is happening.
The light fade to black, then are focused solely upon the screen. upon which appears the lion( medium shot). the lion roaes, silence, all the animals are quite filled with fear. ))
The lion : All of you, who are here, and who are there, allow me, i have a complaint against the hyena , yes agalnst the hyena, who stole , yes , stole my calf that my bull gave birth to.
(( lights down ))
Zebra : It is absurd , it is the lion himself who ate his cows one by one until he had nothing left except one bull
Monkey : Yes , he had that bull who bore his calf, and the fact that now our lives are under the hoof of that bull, that mother bull.
Dog : I have seen this behaviour before, i saw the excat same kind of behaviour when i lived with human beings, it is not animal behaviour, absolutely, it is human behaviour and nothing else
Monkey : I will escape, this is not a forest, this ajungle , a place of intence struggle and competitin, iam not useful here, mybe , i will be useful somewhere else. i will run away. i will jump out, outside.
Deer : You said he ate all his cattle, this is the point, to eat or to be eaten.
Rabbit: Yes, we can ask, what happened to the goat? where are the moose ?, where is the camel? ,where are the sheep? ,what about the giraffes? ,where are they all ?,even the birds ?, where is that bull now? , where is that calf? .
(( Light down, as dark nocturnal sounds of drums come up, light is projected on the screen. the face of the lion appears on the screen, he roars, the loin disappears , the fox appears on the screen))
THe fox : In the name of God, in the name of the lion, the great , great lion, our beloved leader has declared war against the savage outsider, that bad hyena, the thief, it is a war for peace, for freedom, a war to rebuild the animal democratic republic , a war for animal rights, a war against violence and dictatorship.
(( The lion appears on the screen, roaring, the screen goes dark ,a moonspotlight upon the rabbit ))
Rabbit : How can the animals in this forest live like this ?,we can only expect more and more bad news.
(9 The moon light dis appears, sounds of drums, the animals scatter, screen light up. the lion appears on the screen, making roaring sounds, the fox appears after the lion disappears))
The fox : Now we have some quick interviews with different animals, hi, monkey, what do you think of the hyena resistance movement ?
Monkey ; I think this movement is a bad way to solve thr problem. i think doing nasty things to get back at someone is abad way to solve the problem, i think...
The fox : Frankly, where do you stand now?
Monkey : With all my heart, i support our beloved leader against tha hyena military, i will give him all my support.
The fox : Thank you monkey.
(( The rabbit quietly watches this from a distance ))
The fox : Hi, zebra, what do you think about the issue?
Zebra ; What issue?
The fox : Oh, zebra, what is your opinion ?, this a wae against what is called Hyena Resistance Movement, the H R M.
Zebra ; Is there any way to return that calf that the lion;s bull gave birth to and stop the war ?
The fox : Deer, what do you think about the war against the hyena?
Deer : Our great leader was right, of course, he is fighting for our peace, for buliding a multicultural forest ...
The fox : You said multicultural forest ?
Deer: Yes, no.. i mean ..... that
Rabbit (( in spotlight, pounds his stick on the ground))
Iam upset
The fox; Rabbit
Rabbit : I had better move from here , but l belong here
The fox : Can i talk with you?
Rabbit : No, ( he gets an idea) i will do something. something that will allow me to be what i choose to be
The fox : Come here , you are busy, i noticed
(( Rabbit is carring a jar of water ))
Rabbit : Yes , iam busy, bringing water from the river
The fox : And what do you need water for ?
Rabbit ; My father give birth yesterday to my baby brother, andhe needs a bath
The fox : How can your father give birth when he is male ?
Rabbit : How come the great leader,s bull gave birth? Is abull a female
(( Drums come up loudly, the lion roars. light to black. drums. colourful lighting, light on the screen, the animals are trembling with fear, the lion on the screen, roaring, he jumps out from the screen, there is a struggle until he catches the zebra and the deer , his right hand on the deer. the left hand on the zebra. the monkey and the dog aer frozen with fear, the lion continues to roar, light down. moon spotlight on the rabbit
Rabbit : To eat or to be eaten, that is questin, but how can we find the answer?
(( The moon spotlight off. colourful lights , war drums, light on the screen, the lion still has one hand on the deer and other hand on the zebra. the fox appears on the screen.
The fox : Listen, listen , good news, good news, our great scientist.Dr.Tiger, has proven that males can give birth, you see. our great and beloved leader was right, say after me, long live our greatleader, long live our great leader.
(( Dog laughs hysterically ))
(( The lion,s roar are mixed with war drums)).
