The Story of the Moors in Spain, written roughly a century ago, is of course, a classic work, and its
resurrection today to a rife readership, along with Lane Poole's general body of work and other literary contributions
from authors addressing Moorish history, coincides with the contemporary movement of conscious Moors to awaken the general
masses to an almost obscured and "forgotten," but relevant history.
Lane Poole renders an outstanding educational retelling of the history of the rise and fall of the Moorish Empire's
North African annexed rule in Spain, which is ultimately the account of the beginning of the end of a once powerful people
and their empire. I am most pleased and impressed that the book hedges not to identify the Moors in subject, as an African
phenotype, although some will insist otherwise. There is much included here for conscious readers to be thankful for;
but then there is perhaps much omitted. We must consider that recording the truth about African civilizations and their viable
contributions to the world was a daring academic initiative in the 1800's for any author (even before the ascent of anti-Arab prejudice),
especially since European academia obsessed with the golden rule of proliferating copious volumes of repugnant canards about Africa in general.

John Lennon would have turned 67 in 2007. If alive, he could well be at the forefront of bringing peace to Darfur, where more than half a million have died from violence and disease during four years of rebel discord. So to create awareness of the ongoing conflict, Amnesty International (with permission from Yoko Ono) has mined Lennon's solo work and rounded up nearly two dozen current artists to reinterpret the music, which spans the ex-Beatle's entire post-band catalog (plus a pair from while the Fab Four were still in business). As with any attempt to cover Beatles-related music, results are hit and miss, with kudos going to Snow Patrol and the Postal Service for capturing the starkness of "Isolation" and "Grow Old with Me," respectively, Mexican rock band Jaguares for uncovering the fear and fury in "Gimme Some Truth," and (surprise!) Christina Aguilera for nailing the complex composition and mood of "Mother." Other highlights include Jackson Browne's piano-led "Oh My Love," Green Day's louder straight take on "Working Class Hero," and the Black Eyed Peas turning "Power to the People" into a gospelly protest. Will resurrecting 30-to-40-year-old messages of peace and love be enough to help end the brutalities in Darfur? That remains to be seen. But selecting John Lennon as the author of those messages will make people listen and, with this collection, may keep them listening.

معلومة معينة. إلا أن التحميل من ذاك الموقع فلا توجد روابط لتحميل الكتب.
أرجو تصحيحى فى ذلك.

INTRO: This is the first book of this size that I have read about S. Africa. Having many relatives from
S. Africa , I've heard the white side of the story about post-apartheid atrocities and unfairness, but
this is the first history I've read of the history before 1994. This book really is fascinating in seeing the
black perspective of the problem as well as chronologically laying out the evolution of the struggle.
BODY: An important thing to keep in mind is that this book is written by Nelson Mandela himself who is not a
partial bystander. Many times in fact, the book reads like a training manual for aspiring revolutionaries. While the
history of the book is not in question, you need to understand that he paints them in a very specific light. At the end of
the book, you hear nothing about any killings on behalf of the ANC only about the killings which were done to
them. Another example of the political agenda of this book is near the beginning when Nelson Mandela makes
the statement that the tribal politics that existed before the white man was "democracy in it's purest form".
CONCLUSION: You should enjoy this book and admire Nelson Mandela for his lifetime of sacrifice and devotion
to racial equality. However, don't place all your eggs in one basket and realize that there is more to the story
than that of the radical revolutionary Mandela's. This book has inspired me to look further into S. Africa's
present and past history.

عندما بدأت الحرب العالمية الأولى، كان (وليم كار) قد انضم الى البحرية الأميركية.. وفي الوقت الذي كان فيه يتدرج على سلم المراتب، كان يواصل دراسته لخطوات المؤامرة اليهودية الكبرى.
قبل وفاته الغامضة أصدر كتابه "الشيطان أمير العالم" و"ضباب أحمر فوق أميركا"، بالإضافة لكتابه هذا، الذي اعتبره المفكرون صوت النذير لعقلاء العالم لكي يتحدوا في مسيرة الخير لدحر قوى الشر اللئيم.
أنا أنصح بشدّة بقراءة هذا الكتاب.. لكن يجب ألا تصدق كلّ شيء بدون تمحيص.
