The Window of Change
by Engineer Al-hadi Mustafa Raleigh, NC
Our own people, the ones who we once knew, have betrayed us, and they have replaced us for the government's way of dealing with Sudan: dictatorship. They are following what is killing many Sudanese people every day. Last week, the militia of the National Conference of Sudan, killed more than 200 young students and civilians, because they were protesting against the latest economic policy, which devestated the people, and made it harder for them to cope with the rising prices of everything, especially daily needs.
There are two groups basically betraying their own homeland: one of them is following Bashir and his forces, and the other is not taking part in supporting the Sudanese revolution. Change IS coming. Women will have leadership rights, children will be able to go to school without fear and pressure, many will be out of prison, and most importantly, our Sudan will not have anymore dictatorship. Right now, the Sudanese government is under the tension of the Sudanese protesters. We WILL overthrow the Sudanese goverment, and we WILL gain back what is rightfully ours: our freedom.
As for the people who are not supporting the revolution, well the train of change has left them. The majority of people in the Raleigh-Durham area are not taking part of the change for Sudan. They have forgotten their families, friends, and their country. Well, the time has come for those to face the consequences of their actions. We will NEVER forget those people who have shattered our country and left it in a heap of dust. Tomorrow, Sudan will see the light of day, and reach it's full potential.
