A good article by Khalid Mustafa Medani in MERIP. it deserves a reading. I am surprised at his neglect of the popular uprise of April, 1985. He also erroneously, stated that there was a pact made with SPLM to freeze sharia. the september laws were never frozen. but let us talk, if we want to talk, after reading the article at this link
