Departure of a Great Man
|
ا When a great man dies, for years the light he leaves behind him, lies on the paths of men. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882) U.S. poet.
And what a long stream of light he leaves. A stream made of his تلاميذ, years of devotion to real education. He taught law, but he also taught ethics, morality steeped in a sturdy tradition of how to deliver law to graduates who have spread all over the world. A man of mild manners who skillfully prepared us for a world of unknwon futures. When he sat as a minister of Commerce, he did not forget us, he invited us to his office where he explained his policies. He never forgot our names or what year he taught us. He came to our graduates gatherings and spent time with us. He reached out to us during his illness and we reached out to him still taking his advise and his strength. Today he departed our world into a better one. He leaves behind the legacy of the committed teacher a legacy of love and caring, a legacy of a fulfilled Promise of a devoted educator. FAREWELL DR. ABU HAREIRA, A BOW OF RESPECT AND TEARS OF LOSS, MAY ALLAH BLESS YOUR SOUL AND GIVE US THE STRENGTH TO BEAR YOUR DEPARTURE, DO LOOK AFTER US, YOUR STUDENTS, FROM WHEREVER YOU ARE. عليك السلام والرحمة تلميذتك المفجوعة برحيلك أسماء محمد عبد الحليم
