We had received a request to leave Sudan: UNAMNID reveals

Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-The African Union – United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) disclosed on Saturday that its had received a request from Sudanese authorities to leave the country on gradual strategy under the U.N Security Council resolution "2173" issued last August. UNAMID spokesperson, Ashraf Eissa, confirmed in statements that they had received a note verbal from the government of Sudan referring to the need for an exit strategy, pointing out that such a strategy was mentioned in UN Security Council resolution "2173" issued last August. Sudan’s foreign ministry undersecretary, Abdallah al-Azraq, accused last Friday United States and Western States within the United Nations (UN) of launching unfair campaigns against Sudan and publishing false reports about the incident, stressing that his government casting doubts on statements issued by the US administration on the incident because it is not a neutral party. He added that presence of Sudanese forces in Tabit village was to assist UNAMID troops to perform its duties in accordance with the procedures which have been agreed with the United Nations and the African Union, mocking at UNAMID talk that Sudanese forces prevented it from investigating the incident.
