The constitutional amendments designed to protect the security: Sudan’s Democratic Unionist Party

Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-Sudan’s President’s aide and head of the 'registered' Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), Jalal Yousif al-Digeir, has said that constitutional amendments designed to protect the national security from the foreign intrigue and achieving of the interests of the country.
At a press conference on Friday, al-Digeir, confirmed that these constitutional amendments intended to review the centralized system, pointing out that the national dialogue launched last January by president Omer Al-Bashir will not exclude anyone from active participation, stressing that the dialogue will resolve many of the outstanding issues without partisan, regional or sectarian view.
He pointed out that the main issue facing the country is how to unite people of Sudan firstly, disclosing that his party is busy these days on the general elections and they are examining how to participate in the polls
Opposition parties accuse AL-Bashir of continuing to jail dissidents, censoring the media and closing newspapers, making a mockery of his stated commitment to a national dialogue.
The opposition also boycotted the last presidential election in April 2010, citing fraud. Presidential and parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held on April 2.
Though Al-Bashir has promised to step down, opposition groups now believe that is unlikely and are predicting an unfair vote.
