Sudanese Defense Minister denies military buildup on borders with South Sudan
|
Khartoum-The Sudanese Defense Minister Abdelrahim Mohamed Hussein has denied any military build-up on by the Sudanese armed forces on the border line with South Sudan state or any other confrontation line on the borders. In a press statement on Saturday, the defense minister urged the media to deal with such accusations in accurate way to avoid any misunderstanding by any side, affirming the deeply-rooted ties between Sudan and South Sudan. In the meantime, he said that the security situations in the Blue Nile state is calm, and that there are no skirmishes or military engagements, saying that the Sudanese army is capable of containing any military development in the South Kordofan area. He called on the rebel movements to participate in the national dialogue, affirming ability of the army to exercise its military duties to maintain the security of the homeland and the citizen.
