|
Khartoum- SudaneseOnline-Sudan’s National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) has warned some neighboring countries, in particular South Sudan government, of consequences of harboring the rebel groups, stressing that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the pro-government militia Rapid Support Forces (RSF) would follow the rebels everywhere Addressed (RSF) in Nyala on Friday, The NISS director, Mohamed Atta, that Sudan’s government has endured the support rendered by South Sudan to rebels for long-time out of respect for the neighborly ties and the peace agreement . South Sudan seceded peacefully from Sudan in July after decades of war, but both countries have since repeatedly exchanged allegations that each side backs proxy rebel forces against the other. South Sudan was left awash with guns after years of conflict, and brutal tit-for-tat raids by rival ethnic groups to steal cattle from each other are common. Sudan and South Sudan trade accusations of support to rebel groups from both sides although Khartoum and Juba signed agreements which state that each side must refrain from supporting rebels from the other country.
