|
Khartoum-The Sudanese President Omer Al-Bashir has refused to harbor “Muslim brotherhood” members Qatar wants to send them away under pressures by Gulf countries, according to informed Sudanese sources. The sources told the London-Based Arab newspaper that the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani has asked Khartoum, during his recent, to harbor Egyptian “Muslim brotherhood” members who are currently staying in Qatar, and the other potential elements, which are expected to be expelled from Britain upon the opening of the investigation into suspected activities of brotherhood elements in the United Kingdom.. He added that the offer is based on offering financial assistance to Sudan that face economic crisis for receiving the extradited “brotherhood” elements. The sources attributed the rejection to the non-desire of Sudan to publicly antagonize the Egyptian state so as not to weaken its stance in front of the international community, especially with regard to the Sudanese stance against the ICC.
