Sudan reveals endeavors to lift US and European embargo on aviation Khartoum-The Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority in Sudan, Ahmed Sati Bajouri, has revealed endeavors to lift the US and European embargo on aviation in Sudan, and to make the hard currencies available for the international aviation companies in Khartoum in coordination with the ministry of finance and the Central Bank of Sudan. According to Al-Youm Al-Tali newspaper, the head of the Sudanese civil aviation authority revealed further efforts to reduce the fees of the aviation fuels upon intensive meetings with the domestic aviation companies. He added that a memo was submitted to the minister of defense to address the ministry of finance in this regard. He denounced the statement that Khartoum airport is among the worst in the world, describing it as baseless allegations. He said that the US embargo has affected the aviation industry in Sudan.
