Sudan ranked number 3 in gold production in Africa

Khartoum-The Minister of Mining Ahmed Mohamed Sadeq Al-Karori expected Monday that Sudan will occupy the first rank in gold production in Africa by 2018, saying that Sudan is now ranked number 3 after Ghana and South Africa.

In press statements upon a meeting with the US charge d’affaires in Sudan, the minister said the companies operating in field of mineral Sudan rose to 120 national and multinational companies.

The minister expressed desire to cooperate with the US in mineral field.

The US charge d’ affaires has said that the level of relations between the two countries do not fulfill the aspirations, affirming keenness to promote ties in mineral field.
