Sudan and Ethiopia agree to combat the human trafficking along their borders
|
SudaneseOnline-Sudanese and Ethiopian authorities have agreed cooperate to combat drug trafficking, human trafficking and weapon smuggling, besides activating the joint military escorts to eliminate the outlawed groups and maintain the security and stability of the border between the two sides. at conclusion of discussions held in the Ethiopian city of Gondar between a delegation from Al-Gedaref state and one from Amhara region on Thursday, the two sides also agreed to fight against negative phenomena which are harmful to the interests of both countries and curb smuggling, as well as facilitating movement of the seasonal employment legally and to recommend to the competent bodies to create agencies for employment to exchange of mutual benefits. They also agreed to establish controls on borders and put regulations to control hire of Sudanese lands for Ethiopian farmers and to create a common mechanism to oversee the operations of the hire of the lands
