Sudan Liberation Movement rejects call to meet with Afrin Union Chief
|
Paris-The Sudan Liberation Movement/Army led by Abdel-Wahid Nour has rejected the African Union call to bring the leaders of the armed movements and the chief of the African union together in a meeting in Addis Ababa. Nour said that the United –African Union envoy Bin Shambas has invited the movement to meet with the head of the African Union, saying that the movement has rejected the invitation for following three reasons. First, the mass genocide is still continuing in Darfur under the sight of the African Union and international community. Second; going to Addis Ababa under this circumstances means acceptance of the negotiation in a time we reject any negotiation unless our people is secure. Third; we have earlier informed the UNAMID and the African Union that any peace should start with the security which requires implementation of the Security Council resolution.
