Sudan’s voting process abroad starts on Friday in seven States

Voting for Sudanese election abroad will kick off on Friday in seven States. Diplomatic sources told Khartoum-based Al-Rai Al-A’am newspaper on Monday that the vote in European countries will be in London and Brussels, besides polling centers in Sultanate of Oman, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The sources said the ######### of diplomatic missions in those countries will form neutral committees from the Sudanese community there The elections, which started on Monday and will last until Wednesday, are the first to be held in Sudan since the independence of the southern part of the country in 2011. Up to 13 million Sudanese voters are expected to cast their ballots in the three-day polls from 8am to 6pm. It is widely believed that incumbent President Omar al-Bashir, who has ruled the country for over 25 years, will win the elections.
