Sudan’s president presents a pivotal regional plan to end the Libyan crisis




    SudaneseOnline-Sudan’s President Omar Al-Bashir has presented to the visiting Libyan Prime Minister Abdullah Al-Thani a pivotal regional plan to put an end to the crisis in North Africa country, and Al-Bashir stressed Sudan’s readiness to mediate between the warring parties in Libya and provide all necessary for reconciliation.
    In remarks after the talks between Al-Bashir and Al-Thani on Tuesday, Sudan’s foreign minster Ali Karti said that the meeting discussed several subjects, including the Libyan reconciliation issues, noting that Libya needs be helped from its neighboring countries, stressing that Sudan is one the most important countries in the assistance process.
    Karti said the meeting confirmed the commitment of the Sudan with the Libyan Government and not with others, as there is a need for stability in Libya and reconciliation between the parties, pointing out that Al-Bashir has put forward the need to put together all Libyan parties of the Parliament and the armed groups, stressing that the interim Government accepted this proposal
    Sudan’s top diplomat stated that Al-Bashir informed Al-Thani that Sudan is one of the neighboring countries that seek to bring all parties to negotiations table, revealing that there are steps will be done in the coming days to gather all Libyan parties, pointing out that there is a full consensus by the neighboring countries to this approach.
    For his part, Libya's Foreign Minister Muhamad Al Dayri, confirmed that his country looks forward to new relationships with Sudan.
    ” We e have stressed the role of Sudan in the national interest, and that Sudan role would continue in the coming days” he added
    He revealed that meeting between Libyan parties will held in Khartoum in the coming days, disclosing that an effort to strengthen the capacity of the Libyan national army in Sudan, adding that Al-Bashir is seeking a political solution to the people of the two countries that will avoid Libya effects of war and blood.
    Al Dayri said that some international actors marketed false statements to tarnish relations with Sudan.
