Sudan’s opposition require clear objectives to participate in the national dialogue

Khartoum-SudaneseOnline-The head of Sudan's opposition National Consensus Forces (NCF), Farouk Abu Issa, has conditioned the need for clarity of goals and objectives of the national dialogue to participate in the process After his meeting with the African Union High Level Implementation Panel (AUHIP), headed by Thabo Mbeki, Abu Issa denied, in a press statements on Monday, that their presence in the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa to incite the armed movements to continue their war and intransigence in their positions against Khartoum’s Government, stressing that NCF against the conflict The opposition leading figure confirmed that the coalition would continue its meetings with AUHIP for access to a road map leading to participation in the national dialogue, providing their participation in the dialogue to response to their conditions and to create the required atmosphere, stressing that Alliance parties will participate in the process, if it feels that dialogue will lead to meaningful democratic transition. Sudanese president Omar Hassan al-Bashir launched the national dialogue initiative last January but the process suffered major setbacks after the withdrawal of the opposition National Umma Party (NUP) and the non-participation of the rebels as well as leftist forces.
