South Sudan to adopt openness policy toward Arab league
|
Cario-The Arab league Secretary General, Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi, has held talks with South Sudan foreign minister Barnaba Benjamin at the headquarters of the Arab League Secretariat General in a move that affirms South Sudan openness policy toward the Arab League after two years of its independence.
The talks discussed consolidating aspects of cooperation between the Arab League Secretariat General and South Sudan state and bilateral relationship between South Sudan and the Arab states in areas of economic and political cooperation.
The foreign minister of South Sudan has described as important his visit to the Arab league, and thanked the Arab league for its concern to that is happening in South Sudan. He referred to the strong ties that link South Sudan with a number of the Arab states.
On his part, the Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi has described as historical the visit of Minister Benjamin to the Arab League on the ground that South Sudan was a member to the Arab league before independence.
