South Sudan rebels dismiss arrest of leaders in Ethiopia
|
Addis Ababa-South Sudan rebels have denied news that two of their leaders were arrested by the Ethiopian authorities in the western region of Gambella. Walta Information Center, which reported this news, said that the denial comes in response to what has been circulated about the arrest of the ex tourism minister in South Sudan Gabriel Changson and the former Youth and Sports minister Makuach Teny in Gambella due to their attempts to transport fuel to the rebels.
It is to be recalled that the ministers are members to the rebel group led by former vice President of South Sudan Reik Machar. On his part, the spokesperson of Machar James Gatdet Dak has dismissed the arrest of the two leaders, and described what has been said in this regard as concocted lies.
