South Sudan diplomat calls for extending truce with rebels
|
Khartoum-The deputy ambassador of South Sudan state to Khartoum has sad that the cease fire truce between Juba and the rebels is nearing the end, stressing the necessity of extending it at the beginning of the coming round of talks, after the deployment of IGAD troops in South Sudan states. The diplomat has said in a press statement in Khartoum that there were some violations to the cease fire agreement by disorganized groups that aim to undermine security and loot the cows of the citizens in a number of areas due to the absence of central force of the government forces. The IGAD has deployed forces in states of Jonglei, Upper Nile and Unity to secure the areas, ensure delivery of relief materials to the affected people and monitor the cease fire. He added.
