Security tortures citizen in Kadugli to death
|
Khartoum-The appointed South Kordofan governor, Adama Al-faki, has urged the people of the state to support peace through the voluntary repatriation, and to open a channel of comprehensive dialogue with the arms holders. A considerable number of people from what is so called the SPLM- Peace wing led by Daniel Kodi have reacted to the call but the authorities, did not fulfill its pledges as the normal, and launched a wide arrest campaign against the returnees with some of them are now facing tough conditions. It is to be recalled that the organizations operating in the human rights were provided with the names of the arrested people and those who are believed to be disappeared forcefully amid reports that they have been liquidated. On the 13th of December 2013, the security organs arrested citizen Abdel-Jaleel Mohi-Eddin Abdel-Jaleel, a 25 age citizen from Kadugli. He was believed to be tortured to death after his body was found on street near his residence on the 16th of December . He is a son to police officer in the Northern state. In the meantime, Kadugli city suffers from lack of the necessary food materials and medicines with a huge surge of prices due to the stocking of commodities by the traders. Now, the city is almost a ghost town with more than 37.000 soldiers inside. It is to be noted that the population of the city does not exceed 13.000 people. According to reports, the commissioner of Kadugli Abu Al Bashar has topped a convoy of citizens fleeing the city at Al-Sha’eer area and forced it to return to the city. We urge the organizations and international organs to interfere and put pressures on Khartoum regime to save the lives of the returnees and the citizens in the city as they are being used as human shields by the regime.
