The Sudan Liberation Movement, under the leadership of Abdul Wahid El Nur (SLM-AW), announced that they attacked the military garrison of Rokoro in Central Darfur on Monday.
“SLM-AW fighters, related to the Sudan Revolutionary Front, attacked the garrison of Rokoro at 7am on Monday morning,” Mustafa Tambur, the military spokesman for SLM-AW, told Radio Dabanga.
“27 Sudanese army and militia troops were killed, and others wounded. Two army vehicles were destroyed. We seized four Land Cruisers, and large quantities of weapons, among them Duschka machineguns, of ammunition, and also medicines.”
